All clothing should be clearly labelled with your child’s name.

This is especially important, as uniform items look similar and can easily be confused for another child’s. The school cannot accept responsibility for any lost items.

Nazeing Primary School Uniform policy

Hair

  • Long hair should be tied up at all times.
  • Ribbons and hair fastenings should be simple, in uniform colours – black, white or green and no excessive headbands or hairstyles (e.g. cat ears headbands, large bows, hair colouring, hair extensions, shaved logos/eyebrow fading or patterns) are permitted.
  • A Hijab should be in line with our uniform colours – black, white or green

Jewellery

We strongly request that if you wish to get your child’s ears pierced this is done at the start of the summer holidays and will therefore not affect them taking part in PE which is statutory.
  • No necklaces, rings or bracelets. If you wish your child to wear an item of jewellery for religious reasons, we ask that this is in consultation with the school.

Make-Up and Nails

Children should not attend school wearing makeup, false nails, nail extensions or nail polish.
