Footwear
Children should wear practical, safe footwear that allows them to move freely and looks smart with their uniform. All footwear should be plain and in black. Fashion footwear, trainer boots/ wellington boots or fashion winter boots are not appropriate.
Where to buy school uniform
The school uniform has been designed to be convenient to buy, affordable, good quality and long lasting. Most school uniform items can be bought as standard from any large supermarket. Some school uniform items such as clothing with logo & schoolbook bags can only be bought from:
Uniform Shop
ORC Printwear
Unit 2, Hillgrove Business Park
Nazeing
Essex EN9 2HB
01992 890075
All clothing should be clearly labelled with your child’s name.
This is especially important, as uniform items look similar and can easily be confused for another child’s. The school cannot accept responsibility for any lost items.
Hair
- Long hair should be tied up at all times.
- Ribbons and hair fastenings should be simple, in uniform colours – black, white or green and no excessive headbands or hairstyles (e.g. cat ears headbands, large bows, hair colouring, hair extensions, shaved logos/eyebrow fading or patterns) are permitted.
- A Hijab should be in line with our uniform colours – black, white or green
Jewellery
- Your child may wear a watch (no Smart watches are permitted) but we cannot be held responsible for it.
- Children with pierced ears should only wear studs. All earrings should be removed for P.E. (Essex Health & Safety Guidelines). We strongly request that if you wish to get your child’s ears pierced this is done at the start of the summer holidays and will therefore not affect them taking part in PE which is statutory.
- No necklaces, rings or bracelets. If you wish your child to wear an item of jewellery for religious reasons, we ask that this is in consultation with the school.
Make-Up and Nails
Children should not attend school wearing makeup, false nails, nail extensions or nail polish.
